Well unfortunately I been through two pregnancies and my angels went to heaven on wings before I got to fully enjoy them. Th names I picked were....boy = Kamrin Alvin Dion. Both me and FH loved the name Cameron but wanted to put a little twist on the spelling (yall know how we black folks can do).And the middle names are both mine and FH middle names. And I also liked Cameron Christian Makaih. Christian came from FH "original" last name before his "mom" adopted him (for those who read the post you know what I mean) and Makiah came from the oh so fyneeee actor Mekhi Phifer..I love that man..he just so sexy with his chocolate self.
My daughter's name is Tunesia (pronounced like the country Tunisia). She is a 15 year old honor chemistry student who wants to be a doctor. She is making her parents soooo proud! She currently attends St. Jean Baptiste HS in NYC. The gurl can also blow too! I am so blessed because she is such a little lady (at least that's what everyone tells me). I want to give a shout out to all the proud ViBride mothers! And a special shout out to little Ford!
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
For my second pregancy I was going to have a girl and I named her after her FH, my dad and Fh bio mom..... Fh name is San and I added Nya because we loved that name so much and came up with Saniah. His Biological mom name was Anna so we came up with Brianna. My dads middle name is Ray so I came up with Raynece (I wanted the middle name to be Rain but FH didnt like that so I snuck it in anyway and he'll never figure it out RAYN = RAIN). It would have been wierd to name a girl Leonard which is my dads first name...lol. So long story short the name I chose was Saniah Brianna Raynece. As you can see I love to make other peoples names my own, naming a baby after someone is a very honorable thing. If you are wondering why I have three names its because in FH family it is tradition to have two middle names. Also all the kids born to the same mother names start with the same letter...ex brandon, brendon and brittany....All but 1 person did this but she has 3 boys with the same middle name her husbands choice...wierd!..All the girls of the family have May or Pearl in their name after FH "mom" (except for those who marry in). I'm breaking that tradition and maybe the tradition of the same lettering too...I can acctpt two middle names but all that other stuff is not a priority to me, and FH agreed. We will start our own tradition together.
My little boy name is Reginald, and the newborn little baby girl that I will be adopting at the end of this mouth her name will be Mikalaya Marie Campbell. Mikalaya means Gift From God, and that is what both my kids are means Gift From God,. Alvinslove I
I have 2 biological children. The oldest is a boy and his name is Al-Jamier (pronounced Juhmere) and the little fresh lady of the house is Kyasia (like Pie + Asia). The little one is a handful. I'm telling you, she's been here 4 times before. FH is the only one with a "normal" name - Eric. lol
OK Your names are so cool for your babies! I love that about us! Our children are so sparkling to us that their names can't be average either! My cousin's name is Tunesia too Rhony. I especially like Kyasia RAYN! This is cool. Now I know more about you guys too.

Happy I know they are in a better place but I still miss them so much. Lately I've been so depressed because this would have been the month I would have had little Saniah Brianna Raynece. She was due on the 29th of March but I had her stillborn at 5months on Halloween last year. So far I've been ok but I often see my niece who was pregnant along with me she was due 2weeks after I was due and she just went into the hospital to have her son yesterday. I wanted her to know that I'm happy for her but its hard to go around her because of this. I couldnt attend her babyshower because I cried for my angel all day. I havent told her how I feel and I cant tell her because she got so depressed with me when I first lost my baby, and I dont wanna see her in that state or for her to regret having her baby. Next month will not be good for me either. I lost my first baby, Cameron, on April 4 (at 3 months) which is 1 week after I was due for Saniah. I still celebrate both their "birthdays" and their due days and that keeps me kind of sane.
My three kings are Mark-Anthony (20), Maurice Avery (11), and Gregory Alfred (terror 2). My daughter was taken from me due to the birth defect, Anencephaly. My MIL asked me to name her before the surgery, so when she goes to heaven she can go find her baby girl. I named her after my MIL and her great grandmother (MIL's mom) Ruth Victoria.
Living my life like it's GOLDEN!!
No bio kids yet but my FH has a 5 yr old son name is Bryson Amari. I love him like he's my own and hopefully he will be living with us in the near future. He is a cutie! When people see us together or on a picture they think he's mine. I love that. I pray that in the future I will have a girl and a boy her name will be Trinity Natalia and my son Connor Miles. Of course, my FH doesn't like Natalia of Connor because Natalia sounds like Natasha(his son's mom's name) and Connor sounds Caucasian to him. Like Islandbride, we hope to get pregnant on our wedding night because we will have waited a full year.

PB&J the name I picked was a "Caucasian" name too. How many brothas you know with the name Camreon? FH worried that people would pick on him. Just to let people know he is a brotha I will spell it Kamrin. Yall know we can give our kids some way out names with some way out spelling to it! I wanted to keep it simple, sweet, and meaningful.
Alvinslove I know FOUR Camerons and they are all black. it comes from Camroon an african people.

Wow Rosie, you have a cousin named Tunesia, that's cool. Does your cousin pronounce it like the country Tunisia also? I haven't seen too many people with the name, but I absolutely love it. My daughter's middle name is LaChele which is also my middle name. AllieS gurl your angels are watching over you everyday and they are with you in spirit. I too like Rosetta, feel like I know a little more about you. This is really great!

OK here's my 2 cent - My son is Blaine Brentwood (Brentwood is his father's name)and my daughter is Blaire Chanae. My husband wanted to name my son Neopolian Apolo and my daughter Chanae Maleisha and I told him hell will freeze over first (you know how cruel children can be) I didn't want them to be picked on. I wanted unique names and that is why I went looking for a baby's name book---I had absolutley no name for my daughter even up to the time we had to register her, I thought about Brett after my then favorite wrestler Brett Hart but my sister suggested Blaire because it is very close to Blaine and now we I call them in public people look around...I got the uniqueness I was seeking :-)
Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.
Charly are your children close in age. I think it is really nice to have children with close names. I have a friend and her son's name is Brian and her daughter's name is Bria. I just love those close combos.

Hey there sistah's. I know I've been missing in action lately. I've been on checking on you ladies, just not much commenting. As foar as the chil'ren..I have one handsome 13 year old, Justin Clifford. The middle name is my father's name. I got pregnant at 16 years old and my father was devastated. I figured if I named my baby after him, that would make it better. I guess it did. You can't tell that man that Justin is not his son. I have 2 soon-to-be stepdaughters..Tanaisa (Ta-Nay-Zha) Monique who is 8 years old, and Zaniyah (Za-Nye-Ah) Imani who is 6. I have always wanted 2 twin girls of my own so I could name them Eboni and Essence. If I end up with a girl in the future, I want to name her Sydney Nicole (Nicole is my name)

My maidan name is Knowles and marriage name is Thompson, had my father sign for me my maiden name would have been Ettienne...nothing cool about them thou.

The first Boy will be named after FH, so he'll be The Third or HC3! If there's a second boy his name will be Tristan J.
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

George and Bailey are so common as surnames in the Lesser Antillies. They all related too, even though all are not claimed. lol

They are probably not claimed because people may not know...I think that is the biggest problem - people just don't know their family tree and I am one of those people...

My family did a real cool thing a few years back. We had an awesome family reunion in South Carolina. They did a family history presentation. They were able to trace our roots back to a slave by the name of Glasco McCullough. I'm still blown away by it!

Wow I would love to trace my ancestry down to the detail like that. All I know is my maternal grandma is half indian/half black (she showed me some heirlooms when I was a kid-the jewelry, head dress, etc) and my maternal grandpa's side hailed from the B.K. somewheres. I love these names I'm seeing! I like how Alvinslove spelled Kamrin and Mo's Straight-A's middle names are too cute!

Girl!!!!! u iz phuneeeee!!!! My 2 year old daughter's name is Ayanna Chantelle. I chose this name after many many names because I never heard of anyone with it. About two days after her birth, I called one of my girlfriends and she was all like "hey, I gotta little niece name Ayanna". Oh well, so much for that. But Ayanna is I believe Swahili, I could be mistaken on the origin, for "beautiful flower".
- When I look into the future, it is so bright, it's burning my eyes -
I forgot to mention...my cousin just had a baby on my birthday
(Dec 9 he came a month early he was due on Jan 9) and she asked me to do the honors of naming him and asked me to be the god mother. Actually I take care of him more than her because he's so adorable...I cant give him up......Anyways I named him Isaiah Christopher. I have always liked the name Isaiah and Christopher is is dads name. I thought I would be nice and let the dad have some kind of credit for making the baby...lol.....I am really really attatched to this baby he's only about 4 months old and I am so in love with him.I think its because me and my cousin were pregnant at the same time and I would have had my baby on March 29. We both found out we were pregnant on the same day and we shared so much together through the whole time. Although my pregnancy ended at 5 months I still felt like I was pregnant up until she had Isaiah. In the beginning when she had him my breast would leak when he cried, I though that was so wierd.... (too much info)
AllieS you are alright with me. I love the name Isaiah also. If I had a son that would have been his name too!

OMG Bossie. Girl, here we go again with something else in common. I was 18 when I got pregnant and 19 when I had my son. My father was soooo hurt because I was young and just started college. Which in turn hurt me because I'd rather for my parents to be MAD with me than HURT by me any day of the week. After a couple of weeks, he started to talk with me. It seemed like years because I'm daddy's little girl, and for him not to have too many words for me, killed me inside. So, when my son was born I named him Al-Jamier Robert - Robert is my father's name. Listen at this: my father always made this noise with his mouth (a habit) when I was pregnant - it drove me CRAZY (I didn't even want to ride in a car with him). So, on my way home from the hospital (my parents and my new baby) I heard the noise again. I said daddy, please stop, you are killing me. My mohter said that's not your father, that's your baby. I almost jumped out the car. lol

Askalot, it is amazing how our children inherit things from their family members. My FHs mother (deceased) was not very nice to me. She irritated me something awful when I was pregnant. My daughter was born looking just like her father's mother. I couldn't believe it! She also has the same manerisms! His mother used to say "Oh my God" all of the time. My daughter amazingly does the same thing. I guess it's all int he genes.
