What do you ladies do for a living?

Hello B2B, I am a Senior Human Resources Manager with the NYC public school system and I absolutely love my job! I spend a good deal of the day on the web, particularly this site!

I work as a private dutie CNA and a Medical Assistant. I love helping people.

I am a Private Secretary to the Assistant Manager, Curriculum and Training at Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute.

Another government employee surfing all day....lol! but seriously I multi-task really well...:-)

My boss is the same way - the thing is once school has started and students and new lecturers are all settled, it gets really quiet...this campus is so big and the building are scattered, I am in the "G" block, that is really away from practically everybody and I have my own office - once the Heads of departments are in their offices, they do not bother me :-)

I do nothing and LOVE it!!!

I'm a Marketing Assistant for 2 Buyers. My office is sooo laid back but we get our work done. I surf the web and play spades online all day and the others play cards in the back room. This job was made for me. lol

I am a County Prevention Coordinator. I oversee a federal grant that was awarded to our county.I will be overseeing several projects that the grant's funding once we begin implementation this August. My boss works in another city and I only see her once or twice a month when I have meetings. We communicate by email and telephone. I have the option of working from home or in my office. I love my job but it can be demanding at times. And everybody is always trying to get in good with me because they want the money (grant).

You ladies have some great jobs. I can't want to become a Doctor

Right now I'm a Sitter for my SIL's 4 boys, ages 4,6,7,&11. I'm currently taking a few classes so that my SIL and I can start our own daycare really soon. My job is easy, I only work from like 11:30 until 5 or 7 at the latest.I really dont have to do much..we have a daily schedule and my boys know we stick to it.
I love my job and I love working with kids. Somtetime before I'm too old I'm going to go back to school and finish taking classes for my B.A. and Masters in Sociology so I can either do Probation or Social Work like I planned to do when I first started College in 2002. But we all know plans change.....one day I will do it.

I am a surgery coordinator for a physician office.I really enjoy what I do, although my days are very hectic, I am thankful and grateful for what I do.

There is some diversity in the Vibride sistahood, that's what I love. Everyone has great jobs, and more importantly, so many of you said you love your jobs. That is so important.

Sorry b2b, we only have offices in Jersey, Chicago, LA and Europe. lol I usually play spades with Pogo. I'm addicted to card playing. I even have a deck in my pocketbook. lol

Wow Marshine, we have something in common, the NYC Department of Education. I am with the NYC Leadership Academy which trains NYC school principals and supports 1st year principals. And we both live in NJ, this is great!

You guys are a trip! I work like a dog. Even with the new baby and I have 2 careers that run parallel. I own an advertising/ Marketing firm that does print fulfilment. I have a invitations salon which offers one on one private bride & groom consultation on their wedding stationary and favors.

I will direct a wedding, but I won't plan it all out. Y'all brides are CRAZY! lol

OMG how do you find the time to do it all!!!!

The staff thought I was crazy when I wanted to see the itchen where the food will be prepared for the reception. I just have to make sure that none of my guests will be the victims of a food-borne illness due to unsanitary food handling.(smile)

If ya paying for something, I believe you have a right to ask to see the kitchen. I would think twice about doing business with a place that if asked to see the kitchen, they deny you. I don't know about you ladies, but I don't eat at anyone's home unless I have seen the kitchen and the bathroom! LOL!!!!

I"m an over-the-road truck driver.Yes,that's right.I drive an 18 wheeler along with my FH.Recently,I took a load from California on a Friday and ended up in Florida on Sunday.That's over 2000 miles.I love meeting people,seeing the country and getting paid to do it.I've done office work,retail,and even worked as a nail tech in the past but I love the freedom of setting my own hours and taking time off whenever I feel like it.What I don't like is the stereotypes that people have about truck drivers...

Thank you,Charley.There are many women in the U.S. that drive trucks.As a matter of fact,some of my best friends are female truck drivers(sistas).

Honestly,the best assurance for peace of mind when it comes down to food is to stay home and cook.:-)That way you won't have to worry about the cleaniless of the kitchen.Or Mom or Grandma's house may be an excellent substitute.Lol.

I rarely eat at fast food restaurants unless I can see everything. As far at that chain of thought being insulting, most people feel that way whether or not they verbalize it.

I concur but my point to you is they may not grant you access because of safety reasons...kitchens can be a hazard especially during a rush hour and only the staff members are all synchronized to procedures during these rush hours.
