For Vibrant Brides of Color

Why A Wedding Centerpiece?

The use of a beautiful centerpiece at your wedding can make your decor unforgettable. With so many options to choose from - which way do you go?

The Art of Display

Whatever type of centerpiece you select will be the focal point of the table. It should coordinate with and complement your wedding theme. Floral arrangements are often the most common type of centerpiece for tables. It adds a freshness of color and they come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes.

But, don't limit yourself to just flowers. Anything can be used as a centerpiece such as beach buckets filled with children’s toys or a tempting array of fresh fruit arranged in a basket. There is virtually no limit to the variety of different pieces you can use for your table!

Here are a few things to keep in mind...

If you are considering a floral arrangement, consider using crystal vases, ceramic pots, wicker baskets, mason jars or decorative boxes.

Think candlelight! The dancing light adds an elegance and gleam to your reception. Use various heights and widths and group them together. You could also place them on mirror for a reflective base.

For the head table, use what you already have! Place your and your bridesmaid’s bouquets on your table for your centerpieces. Everybody loves to look at them!

Get some balance. Group various sized pieces together. Set the largest one in the center, with the smaller pieces surrounding it. Pairs can give you a balanced look (such as candlesticks) and add one larger piece to the group and you have an instant striking impression.

Who says you have to have a centerpiece? Nobody. Try scattering rose petals on the table or sand.

Centerpieces should be positioned so that they are either above or below eye level so you don't obstruct someone’s view. Wedding lanterns are perfect for this.

The unexpected table is a fun visual treat for your guests. Mixing and matching with colors, textures and heights – even with the simplest elements – can create gorgeous tablescapes.

Varied Centerpieces

Can't decide on which centerpiece you like the best. Make each table different! Just try to keep with your theme and color scheme. All of the centerpieces differed for each table but the lemons inside the vases stayed the same creating continuity.
