Maybe you could find a seamstress in your area to fit them down to there sizes, it should not cost that much if she only has to do 2 dresses
Did the bridal shop take the measurements themselves or did your bridesmaids have someone else do their measurements. If the bridal shop did the measurements themselves, then I think that they should be responsible and get those dresses done immediately.

Calm down, don't stress it only makes things worse! Just prayer everytime you feel it coming on and ask God to calm you, take care of it and give you some peace! That's great advice Happy! You should be able to find someone to do the alterations. It seems that if it was the bridal shops mistake they would take care of it!

TNT - Della is actually right! At this point you will have to find someone who can alter the dresses. But ensure that it is not a "fly-by-night" seamstress...even if it means paying a little more then do that for your peace of mind ...how much time do you have?

I ordered they're dresses back in December and the Bridal Warehouse told me that if the girls came in and tried on a dress of from designer they would be off a little but not much! they did that, the girls picked up they're dresses about 2 weeks ago and everybodies dress was too big, but most of them said that they could get them fixed. But my other two bridesmaid dresses wears about size 8 those dresses are more closer too 12. the way the dresses are made with the rhinestones and the swag and most importantly the plastic seems down the front. I have no clue what to do!

NTN trying on a gown to gauge a size is not the same as actully having there measurements taken. If the tried on a dress and then ordered on based on that size then they'll juse have to have the gowns altered. If the Bridal Warehouse took their measurements then they owe you new gowns. You can get super rush cuts in 2-4 weeks time (dependening on the designer).

Everyone gave awesome advice! You are so on top of things! NTN call the bridal shop and ask about rush cuts BEFORE calling the corporate office. If they were the ones making the mistake then they will correct it. If you made the mistake you could alienate the shop owner and lord know when OR IF you will get the dresses back in time.

Well I called the bridal shop & corpate and they both told me that we all signed an agreement once they place the order for the dresses they are ours. They also said they are not responsible for the designers and how they make the dresses, but they can recommend a professional seamstress. They also said all of they're dresses can be changed from up to 4 dress size too big, if done by a professional. This is really working my nerves! :(

That is bull. You need to go over your contract with a fine tooth comb. Does it say that there will be a 4 size difference between what you ordered and what you got? Also Post the name of the company so we know not to use them for any reason. They obviously do not put th customer first.

The contract stats the once the dress is order and paid of there are no exchanges nor refunds. http://www.usabridal.com/Designfr1.htm-then go to Jordan (the designer) and jordan collections the dress # is 427 before you post it click on eggplant so you can see what it looks like in my color. But that's the dress.

I've seen the dress - it's beautiful but I am sure there is some obligation on there part to "fix" the mess they created...you need to turn to bridzilla up in there.

Niquey can you change the color so I/we can get a better appreciation of the gown - it's kinda difficult to see the details in that dark color....and I understand that it is a faux wrap with rhinestones I think.

The dress is very nice NTN. Did you find a seamstress? Is the company willing to pay for the alterations? What is the purpose of getting fitted for a dress if they are going to send you the sizes they want you to have anyway? That is utterly ridiculous! I'll start making the picket signs.

On 5/27/06. Two families became ONE
they told all of us, if we came in and tried on a dress that was made by the same designer, it would be a better match, they don't take measurements. I should have known then when they said they didn't take measurements, and also when we had to sign a contract saying no refunds or exchanges that something didn't sound right! I have not found anyone at this time and time is running out! I have called a couple of seamstress and what I was told was it may run more than what the dress cost to fix it. I'm really trying not to stress out over this, but I tell you it's really bothering me!

Ok, we've solved the dilema with the 2 dresses being two big, and what happens, my future sister-in-law orders a dress 1 size too small because she thought that she'd lose weight by the wedding! I tell you what, I think everyone is really trying to make me loose my mind! we are 4 weeks out and her dress is too small! I remember her saying that she was going to order the dress in a 14, she wears a 16, when she tried it on she said that they sent her the wrong dress! (like I said I remember her saying that she was ordering a smaller size due to her trying to lose weight! Again ladies what do I do!???????

If there were something out there...I would be a size 18. Honey that silly mistake is not your fault and you should not hurt your head, if the dress does not fit - you must acquit!, she either has to buy another, find a seamtress who can pull a rabbit out of a hat or she just is not in the wedding....

she said that she was going to try and get a girtle (spelling)lol, I told her to try and do what she can, because if she orders another dress, she will have to pay $50 for express shipping, and $160 for her dress, because it's a plus size dress! She's really working my nerves, trying to put it on the dress shop, they didn't make that mistake I know that for a fact!

I told her the only thing she can do is to lose the weight, and on top of all of that she's giving me flack about her hair! she wears a wig 80% of the time or weave, not that her hair is not long enough for the type of style I ask everyone to wear, but she's just really being a butt hole!

I might have a solution to the dress problem, I talked to one of my bridesmaid yesterday and she said that she order her dress too big and it's the size of the dress that my sister in law needs and my sister in law has the size she needs, we're going to find out if my sister in laws dress fits for her. Don't stress yourself with other people's mess. I know you want your sister in law to take part in your day but the ball is in her court now. If she ordered the dress too small it's her responsibiity to get into it. Whether she uses slim -fast , a 30 day juice fast, a broken jaw whatever.( Just have a back- up person that wears the dress size tso that your numbers are not off.) as for her hair...... She can be unbeweavavble so that she can achieve whatever style you have selected for your bridal party to wear.
